December —the final month of 2024—is a time of holidays and celebrations! Modified work schedules provide opportunities to unwind, honor cherished traditions and gather with family and friends. At the heart of the festive gatherings is the joy of good food.
This can also be a great time to explore new food options—or at least to savor the flavors of the season. Even during the colder months, the winter food harvest carries a vibrant array of nutrient-dense produce. Most of which will not be around (fresh) in the spring. So now is an opportune time to embrace this season’s abundant bounty. Additional information, recipes, food and meal planning details discussed at the January 21 class. Plan to join the conversation, registration info below.
Let’s celebrate the year end with these seasonal treasures:

• Root Veggies: Carrots, parsnips, beets and more
• Winter Squash: Butternut, acorn, spaghetti, pumpkins
• Cruciferous Veggies: Cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli.
• Leafy Greens: Spinach, collards, Swiss chard, kale
• Citrus Fruits: Oranges, grapefruits, lemons and more
• Herbs & Aromatics: Parsley, thyme, rosemary, and sage.
