As we begin a new year, I have taken time to reflect the direction of the Organize Eating Co. and how our work continues to evolve. The focus for 2026 is expanding from seasonal plant- based eating to include seasonal plant-based living.
Really, this is a return to our roots, so to speak. Organization was our theme in 1992, when Organizing To Be Effective, LLC. was first started.
Eating Well to Living Well
For me, this is a harmonizing approach—blending nourishing food with practical organization and everyday habits that support long-term wellness.
Many people understand what plant-based eating is, yet still struggle with how to make it work consistently in daily life. Over time, I have seen that confidence grows when food and nutrition is paired with organizing—in the kitchen, in planning, in how we move through the seasons, and in getting high quality meals to the table.

Seasonal plant-based living recognizes that:
- Our food needs change throughout the year
- Structure reduces being overwhelm
- Order and organization support consistency
- Flavor and nourishment thrives when meals are manageable
So, this perspective will guide the blog moving forward, with content centered on seasonal foods, kitchen organization, planning strategies, and practical ways to make plant-forward living feel natural and enjoyable. These are each themes covered in my book, “Organize Eating: A Cookbook for Transitioning to Plant-Based Meals”.
Two Classes, One Connected Path
This expanded focus is reflected in two upcoming winter classes:
January 27 – Seasonal Plant-Based Eating– The class focuses on understanding seasonal foods and building a foundation for plant-based meals that are flavorful, nourishing and align with the season. https://wce.macomb.edu (for each class) 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
February 17 – Seasonal Plant-Based Living -This follow-up class combines plant-based nutrition with organizational skills. We explore pantry and kitchen set-up, shopping, storing and meal planning strategies. All designed to build confidence and consistency in everyday life. These two classes form a natural progression.
...from understanding seasonal eating to living it with confidence ~ hope to see you there.
Until Next time, Ms Beverly
